Committee

Hi All,

Firstly, I would like to welcome all new parents and children to the Leapfrogs setting – being a working mum I am not often at the setting during core hours so may not have had the chance to meet you all.

I am sure you will all agree with me that Leapfrogs Pre-School really does provide a fantastic setting for all our children to learn, play and most importantly have fun! Gail and all the Leapfrogs staff do a wonderful job ensuring that our children are safe, happy and well cared for whilst they are there.

As you may be aware Leapfrogs hold Charity status and is run by a committee separate to Hormead School. A strong committee is vital for the continued success of Leapfrogs and is a requirement of Ofsted.

The committee is made up of Leapfrogs staff, a Chair, A Treasurer, a Secretary and parent members. As some of the children move on to full time school the committee looks for new members, the more the better!! For those parents new to Leapfrogs it is a great way to chat to other parents and to get involved with the Leapfrogs setting.

I have been a committee member for over 4 years and I have really enjoyed helping the setting with numerous fundraising events, all of which have helped towards the fantastic resources that are available for all our children.

Committee meetings are held around every 6 weeks and start at 3.45pm at Leapfrogs. The meetings usually last around an hour. If anyone is interested in joining the committee then Gail, the Leapfrogs staff and myself would love to hear from you, even if you just want to find out a bit more about what the committee does!!

Hannah (Chair of Committee … and Jakes mum!!)
